Fix Wii Disc Error \ Unable to Read Disc

There are some common reasons why we see Wii disc read error. The specific error message it gives is: "Unable to read the disc" or "Disc could not be read".

Most common causes are overheating. It causes some of the internal connectors to fail and prevent the consolve from reading the disc. It’s a good idea to replace the disk when you experience Wii disc read error.

Many people still prefer to repair it through a Nintendo authorized agent. But most of the time it’s time consuming and expensive. Like other wii errors (which can be solved easily by the user itself), Wii disc read error is little bit more complex.

One thing you can try on your own is to clean the Wii's DVD drive with the official Nintendo Wii cleaning kit:

Fix for Wii error codes: 51330, 52030, 32002

To fix these error messages there are a few things you can try:

Set your router to Mixed Mode.
If it is set to G-Only it will not work.

Set the channel on your router to either 1 or 11

Both of these settings can be found in the wireless tab on a standard linksys router.
